Minto-Mapleton offers exciting new physician opportunities to practice in a Family Health Team model. Family Health Teams provide a core set of comprehensive primary health services to their patients. There are eight family physicians in the Minto-Mapleton Family Health Team with clinics located in Palmerston, Drayton, Clifford and Harriston. The newly opened Mapleton Health Centre in Drayton and the new Clifford Medical Centre offer multi-functional, multi-disciplinary and technically advanced office space.

Working in a Family Health Team (FHT) provides an opportunity for physicians to work as part of an interdisciplinary team. The team includes nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacist, social workers, registered dietitian, health promoter, physician assistant and administrative support. The FHT Staff are able to work collaboratively with physicians to offer several chronic disease management and disease prevention programs to patients.
