An up and coming local event, The Canadian Redneck Games, was rated the number one event in Ontario for the month of July by CBC Radio Ottawa voted a Top 100 event in 2008 and 2009 and voted Best New Festival and Best Community Involvement by Festivals and Events Ontario.
