One visit to Wellington North and you will quickly see history and heritage on every street and rural road. Wellington North is home to a large Mennonite Community where the main mode of transport is horse drawn buggies. Visit Mapleton’s Organic Farm where they take farming back to its “natural roots”. Mapleton’s Organic Farm provides the public with healthy, local, and environmentally sustainable products. Mapleton’s believe they have the responsibility to show young people about the cycle of responsible food production. Tours and special events are held year round where guests are welcome to observe the farm up close.

Discover and explore the Wellington County Museum and archives. The Museum is a National historic site, recognized for its unique history as the oldest house of industry in Canada. Twelve galleries of Museum exhibits reflect the lifestories of Wellington County people over the past centuries. Enjoy displays that focus on the decorative arts and the Museum's superb textile collection as well as travelling exhibitions, historical displays and installations by local artists.
